Abstract invasors

Residences

The Portuguese collective OSSO includes artists who explore the relationship between visual arts, sound art, photography, dance, performance, music, design, architecture, and cinema. It is the nomadic expression of a collective creative project from the village of São Gregório in Portugal.

The Abstract Invaders project is based on wandering through rural territories. To date, it has had four editions associated with four residencies: https://www.osso.PT/programacao-3/invasor-abstracto/.

This action anticipates the development of a residency in two parts, connecting two territories and investigating the physical, aesthetic, poetic, social, and political qualities of the following historical and experimental territories:

#1: OSSO and the Museo Vostell Malpartida de Cáceres (Extremadura, Spain)

#2: OSSO and the Musée Gassendi – Digne les Bains (Alpes de Haute Provence, France)

This spoken experience will give rise to “small poetic essays” that will be integrated into the Abstract Invader web pages and fill the exhibition spaces of the venues.
