The \u201cAstronomy\u201d residency took place in Serra da Estrela, Travancinha, and Serra do A\u00e7or, Faj\u00e3o (Portugal) in 2023, and in the Alps, St. Michel l\u2019Observatoire (France) in 2023 and 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This artistic residency arose from the natural role of mountains as sites for observing the sky. It provided Katarina Petrovi\u0107<\/a> with access to three mountain-based astronomical observation centres: the Porto da Balsa and Travancinha observatories in Portugal, and the Observatoire de Haute-Provence in France.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The residency was organised by ADXTUR (Portugal)<\/a>, AGE (Portugal)<\/a>, and CAIRN Art Centre (France)<\/a>. It was facilitated by Andreia Gon\u00e7alves, Charles Garcin, and Lucas Cezar. The participating artist was Katarina Petrovi\u0107 (Netherlands).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
