{"id":1301,"date":"2024-06-05T15:55:15","date_gmt":"2024-06-05T15:55:15","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/projetoentreserras.com\/en\/?p=1301"},"modified":"2026-03-24T14:34:10","modified_gmt":"2026-03-24T14:34:10","slug":"humus-residency","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/projetoentreserras.com\/en\/activities\/humus-residency\/","title":{"rendered":"Artistic Residency: Humus"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p>The \u201cHumus\u201d residency took place in Serra da Estrela (Portugal) in 2023, and in the French Alps (France) in 2023 and 2024.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>In &#8220;Humus&#8221;, artists were given the opportunity to ascend the mountain with a shepherd and his flock in Serra da Estrela, Portugal, and to descend the Alps, France, in the company of other shepherds, linking these nomadic worlds through a millennial movement that recognises no borders: transhumance, the seasonal migration of animals in search of the best pastures.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The residency was organised by <a href=\"https:\/\/projetoentreserras.com\/activities\/astronomy-residency\/#:~:text=ADXTUR%20(Portugal)%2C-,AGE%20(Portugal),-e%20CAIRN%20Art\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">AGE (Portugal)<\/a> and <a href=\"https:\/\/www.cairncentredart.org\/en\/cairn-art-center\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noreferrer noopener\">CAIRN Art Centre (France)<\/a>. It was facilitated by Charles Garcin, Jos\u00e9 Cardoso, Leonardo Rosa, Lucas C\u00e9zar, Manuela Pires da Fonseca, Miguel Rainha, and Ramiro Menino.
