Léna Hiriartborde's research uses a multitude of strategies that invite greater attention to spaces and their subtleties. Inspired by her observation of the living world and its possible perceptions, she's interested in the notions of interdependence, inter-species collaboration, and animism. The pieces she produces are most often developed contextually. They combine sound, performance, exploratory walking, writing, drawing, and video. They are immersive and conceived as conversations with the environments in which they take place.
