“Ponto Zero” is the title of the work that Rodrigo Braga developed during a residency in Barroca, one of the Aldeias do Xisto, in the Municipality of Fundão. The inscription of his own body in literally natural contexts, in scenes of representation that develop in the interstice between the animal and the human, the natural and the cultural, and the density of the matter and the symbolic dimension of his work make it, through photography, video, and performance, a body of work capable of illuminating, through art, one of the most urgent and striking aesthetic and political discussions of our time, namely, the one that interrogates the mutations and the loss of centrality of the human condition and the re-emergence of its animal dimension in the context of a world subjected to ideological tensions that incessantly project an illusion of globality and virtuality in the exercise of relationships between people.
