The “Astronomy” residency took place in Serra da Estrela, Travancinha, and Serra do Açor, Fajão (Portugal) in 2023, and in the Alps, St. Michel l’Observatoire (France) in 2023 and 2024.

This artistic residency arose from the natural role of mountains as sites for observing the sky. It provided Katarina Petrović with access to three mountain-based astronomical observation centres: the Porto da Balsa and Travancinha observatories in Portugal, and the Observatoire de Haute-Provence in France.

The residency was organised by ADXTUR (Portugal), AGE (Portugal), and CAIRN Art Centre (France). It was facilitated by Andreia Gonçalves, Charles Garcin, and Lucas Cezar. The participating artist was Katarina Petrović (Netherlands).
