Workshop: Discovering a landscape through multiple lenses – Art, Ecology and People

Activities

The workshop “Discovering a Landscape Through Multiple Lenses – Art, Ecology and People” took place in 2023 in Alpes-de-Haute-Provence (France). Participants were invited to explore the territory through a series of visits across several locations, including the villages of Auzet and Moustiers-Sainte-Marie, the Ségrìes Monastery, the Ammonite Wall, CAIRN, and the Maison Alexandra David-Néel.

Throughout the workshop, the exploration of these sites was complemented by several encounters with local residents and artists. These moments of contact accompanied the participants’ journey through the territory, contributing to the experience of moving across different contexts and spaces.

The workshop was facilitated by Carlos Casteleira and Charles Garcin, from CAIRN Art Centre, in collaboration with École Supérieure d’Art d’Aix-en-Provence (ESAAIX).
