Francisco Nave

Francisco Nave (2002) is an art director and photographer whose work develops from a close relationship with landscape and the questions surrounding landscape citizenship. Throughout his practice, he has been exploring different languages within the fields of audiovisual and image-making, intersecting artistic practice, research, and the experience of territory.He is currently attending the BA in Audiovisual and Multimedia at the Escola Superior de Comunicação Social of the Polytechnic Institute of Lisbon, where he has been deepening a multidisciplinary approach to image and place.He was a research grant holder in the projects “SCAPE.COM – Communicating Landscape – Reading and Exploring Landscapes” (IDI&CA 2020) and “SEALAND” (IDI&CA 2021), both focused on the reading, interpretation, and mediation of landscape.Since 2020, he has been part of the Museu da Paisagem team, collaborating on projects dedicated to the promotion of landscape citizenship.He also participates in the project Entre Serras, where he develops his artistic project “Am I from the Hippocampus? Is there so much Auzet in me?”, exploring relationships between identity, memory, and territory.His work is built at the intersection of artistic practice and research, understanding landscape as a space for critical, sensitive, and collective reflection.
