Lourdes Germain

Visual artist based in Cáceres. She holds a degree in Fine Arts from the Complutense University of Madrid (UCM) and is currently a professor at the School of Fine Arts of the Diputación de Cáceres. She has led workshops and delivered lectures at institutions such as the University of Barcelona, the University of the Republic (Uruguay), the Helga de Alvear Museum, and the University of Extremadura.She has received Visual Artists Grants from the Junta de Extremadura (2018, 2020) and participated in Cáceres Abierto (2017, 2021). A finalist in numerous competitions, she has been awarded prizes at the IV and VII Ibero-American Biennial of Graphic Work, the XVIII El Brocense Plastic Arts Contest, and the XII Ciudad de Badajoz Awards.Her work has been exhibited in museums and institutions such as the Centro Hispanoamericano de La Habana, Vostell Museum (Malpartida), Instituto Cervantes (Lisbon), Fábrica da Criatividade (Castelo Branco), École Supérieure d’Art d’Aix-en-Provence, the Provincial Museum of Cáceres, Luis de Morales Museum (Badajoz), and Sala Miguel Delibes (Salamanca), as well as in independent spaces including La Sindicalista Estudio (Cáceres), EST_Art Space (Madrid), Esquina Nua (Madrid), and Espacio Zaratán (Lisbon), among others.
